An in-person school, first
Our nursery and primary classes opened their doors. Every student is known, followed, supported — the ZAD standard took shape in a real classroom.

Middle school opens, the platform is born
The school grew: nursery, primary and middle school together. That same year, we built our online platform to carry this standard beyond our walls.

First BEM: zero failures
Our first candidates sat the BEM, the Algerian middle-school diploma. The rigour of the programme translated into concrete results from the very first cohort.

At ZAD, faith is not a barrier to success — it is its driving force. We raise children who excel in their studies, master their language, and grow in their faith. Not one or the other. Both, at the highest level.

Je suis moi-même investi dans le milieu éducatif algérien et sais pertinemment que l'école algérienne est souvent pointée du doigt. En ce qui concerne l'école Zad, j'ai été satisfait des résultats de mes enfants (dont un qui a eu le Brevet algérien). Leur réussite est la conséquence des efforts fournis par les dirigeants et enseignants de l'école, dont les qualificatifs les plus justes à mon avis sont : sérieux et disponibilité. Bien évidemment, il y a des choses à améliorer comme partout, mais pour ma part je suis satisfait. »
“Salam Alaykoum. I would like to share our experience of Zad At-Toulab, where our four children are enrolled: a girl and a boy in middle school, and two girls in primary.
After two years at the school, all of them are thriving and have no wish to go anywhere else — it is a reassuring anchor in their Hijra.
When we arrived, we had enrolled them in the state system, because we were advised that immersion was best and that, with extra private tuition, children of their age would catch up quickly. It proved very difficult: adapting is far more complex than it appears for children of that age.
Zad At-Toulab was a real springboard for them, thanks above all to its Arabic-language transition class. This provision, which I have not come across anywhere else, allows them to progress at their own pace without stalling or being needlessly held back in the other subjects.
Having also tried other private schools for a day before deciding, our children chose Zad At-Toulab for the quality of its teaching staff, the size of its playgrounds and the sports hours built into the timetable. What is more, while following the official Algerian curriculum closely, the school fully respects our religious sensibilities: single-sex classes, prayers on time, and a substantial number of hours devoted to learning the Qur’an in primary, which has allowed them to make immense progress.
Finally, one of our daughters in primary is dyslexic. In France she faced enormous difficulties and could not take in the lessons. The school has taken her difference into account with kindness. Today she is progressing remarkably and is finally learning calmly. The small class sizes contribute greatly to this, giving each child attention that is almost individual, as though they had a private tutor.
Hijra is difficult, all the more so for pre-teens and teenagers. Many parents cut their children off socially by having them follow online lessons at home. Personally, I do not find it healthy for them to withdraw into themselves even further, when the prices are much the same. It is better to choose on-site schooling so that they keep a real social life, with childhood memories that cannot be made alone within four walls behind a screen.”

« Salam Alaykoum. Je souhaite partager notre expérience concernant l'école Zad At-Toulab, où sont scolarisés nos 4 enfants : une fille et un garçon au collège, ainsi que deux filles en primaire.
Après 2 ans à fréquenter l'établissement, ils y sont tous épanouis et ne veulent pas aller ailleurs — c'est un repère rassurant dans leur Hijra.
En effet, à leur arrivée on les avait scolarisés dans le système public car on nous conseillait l'immersion, et que c'étaient des enfants qui, avec des cours particuliers en plus, allaient retrouver le niveau rapidement. Mais cela s'est avéré très difficile : l'adaptation est plus complexe que cela en a l'air pour des enfants de leur âge.
L'école Zad At-Toulab a été un véritable tremplin pour eux, notamment grâce à la mise en place d'une classe d'adaptation en langue arabe. Ce dispositif unique, qu'on ne trouve nulle part ailleurs à ma connaissance, leur permet de progresser à leur rythme sans stagner ni être inutilement rétrogradés dans les autres matières.
Ayant également essayé d'autres établissements privés pendant une journée avant de décider, nos enfants ont choisi Zad At-Toulab pour la qualité de son corps professoral, la grandeur de ses cours de récréation et l'intégration d'heures de sport dans le programme. De surcroît, tout en suivant scrupuleusement le cursus officiel algérien, l'école respecte pleinement nos sensibilités religieuses : non-mixité, prières à l'heure et un volume horaire important consacré à l'apprentissage du Coran en primaire, ce qui leur a permis de faire d'immenses progrès.
Enfin, l'une de nos filles en primaire est dyslexique. En France, elle rencontrait d'immenses difficultés et n'arrivait pas à assimiler les cours. L'école a su prendre en compte sa différence avec bienveillance. Aujourd'hui, elle progresse de manière spectaculaire et apprend enfin sereinement. Le nombre réduit d'élèves par classe y contribue largement, offrant une attention presque particulière et individuelle à chaque enfant, comme s'il avait un précepteur particulier.
La Hijra est difficile, d'autant plus pour des pré-adolescents ou des adolescents. Beaucoup désocialisent leurs enfants en leur faisant suivre des cours en ligne à la maison. Personnellement, je ne trouve pas cela très sain qu'ils se renferment encore plus sur eux-mêmes alors que les prix sont à peu près les mêmes. Il vaut mieux choisir le présentiel pour qu'ils conservent une vraie vie sociale, avec des souvenirs d'enfance qu'on ne peut pas se faire enfermé seul entre 4 murs derrière un écran. »
